Inspiring Interviews: 1-on-1 with Littlefoot Community Projects

I giggle to myself writing the last part of that sentence, because I used to be terrified of sharing my writing with the world, nevermind pitching. So how did I get here?
I was born in Toronto, Canada and raised in the suburbs outside of the city. Being from a Polish family and having travelled and lived abroad off and on the past 5 years – home feels more abstract than concrete to me. It’s less about a particular place but the details: people, food, nature, art, transportation – aspects that are found in their own unique ways everywhere. That’s what I love about travelling. I’ve been on the road for the past year finding home from Malaysia to Sri Lanka to Portugal.
Throughout my undergrad years I kept busy; I dipped my toes in activism, politics, and student clubs all while working as a Swimming Instructor, Lifeguard and Academic Mentor.
Seems like quite a handful now, but I’ve always been a lover of trying new things, learning skills and discovering passions. This path eventually led me to working in provincial politics and taking on an engagement role for a development project in Tanzania for a year. In both of these gigs I carried out a LOT of writing. Whether it was ghostwriting for a politician or writing impact stories for funders, I developed a more professional eye for writing.
I would relish getting lost in the pages of a new book and have always found comfort in scribbling my thoughts and feelings all over my journal – a practice I still engage in to this day. My writing was always just for me, because I was too fearful of opinions and judgements. I was too fearful of putting my voice out there, of being vulnerable.
I’ve delivered a TedX talk and taught English as a Second Language to adults and children. I’ve used language as a tool to empower and inspire.
And it’s my hope that I can use my word-savvy brain, creative lens and compassionate heart to help you, your business or your organization execute your voice.
When I’m not working you can find me listening to podcasts (some of my favs are Beautiful Anonymous, Girls Gotta Eat, and Unlocking Us), hiking, practicing yoga, colouring or catching up with a friend over coffee.
